Description

QD-Q1S09-D(n) and QD-Q1R12-D(n) are conductively cooled laser diode stacked arrays, designed to provide a high brightness and compact laser diode source.

These stacks are designed to integrate reduced size diode bars allowing a square shaped emission with high optical power density:
• 9 mini-bars 3mm (emission area ~3 X 3 mm² )
• 12 mini-bars 5 mm (emission area ~5 X 5 mm²)

The heat-sink has been adapted for these mini-bars with a small footprint and qualified for stable operation over a large temperature range.
Mini options are available with mini-bars of different wavelengths (to broaden the optical spectrum) which are well adapted for operation under environmental conditions with non-stabilized temperatures. Other dimensions and bar lengths are available.

This compact stack is intended to be tightly packed in customer designed manifolds for efficient diode pumping of solid state lasers. Smaller pitches are also available (Typ. 300 µm).

This stack can be collimated starting with a pitch of 400 µm (Typ. 1°).
